Dominique Belluard spent his life on the glacial slopes above Ayze saving Gringet, an alpine grape that survives on a few dozen hectares worldwide. After his death the estate was renamed Domaine du Gringet, at his widow Valérie's request, to honour it.
Since the 2022 vintage the vines and cellar are in the hands of Vincent Ruiz, who spent nearly a decade with Franck Balthazar in Cornas; Balthazar himself advises on farming and vinification. Le Feu, Les Alpes and Mont Blanc Brut Zéro continue.
