Gideon Beinstock founded Clos Saron in the Sierra Foothills after years at Renaissance Vineyards. He farms Pinot Noir, Syrah, Grenache and a range of Rhône varieties on decomposed granite at high elevation.
His cuvées — Camptonville Folly, Carte Blanche,HolyMoly! — have become cult wines of American natural winemaking.
