Château Le Puy

In the Amoreau family since 1610, Château Le Puy sits on a plateau overlooking Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. Jean Amoreau rejected chemical products as early as 1924, long before organic agriculture had a name. The estate has been certified by Nature & Progrès since 1964, and by Ecocert and Demeter since the 1990s.

Today, brothers Pascal, Françoise and Jean-Pierre Amoreau represent the 15th generation. Their Cuvée Émilien — made without added yeasts, sugars, filtration or fining, and famously cited in The Drops of God — has become a symbol of natural Bordeaux.
