Founded in 1991 by Jean-Michel Stéphan, a former farmer from Côte-Rôtie, the estate began with just 2 hectares before bottling its own wines from 1994. Today, the 4.5hectare vineyard is farmed organically, inspired
by biodynamic principles, and includes century-old vines of Serine, Syrah, and Viognier. Joined by his son Romain in 2017, Stéphan crafts distinctive Côte-Rôtie wines with minimal intervention and no added sulfur.
