
Stéphane Moreau died overnight in late August 2016, days before the harvest he had already prepared. His wife Virginie Moreau-Naudet took over the estate and has run it since, without altering its direction.
Old vines, low yields and long ageing on fine lees give wines that are saline and tightly wound — from Petit Chablis through Vaillons and Montée de Tonnerre to Valmur. Wood is texture here, never flavour.
