Stéphane Sérol has become the figure of the Côte Roannaise, the westernmost tip of the Loire Valley on pink and grey granite. He and Carine farm the estate biodynamically, producing some of the most precise Gamay in the upper Loire basin.
The wines are structured but transparent, with strong echoes of the Beaujolais crus further east and a more mineral, stony signature drawn from the granite soils of Roanne.
