Clos de la Néore

Edmond Vatan farmed old Sauvignon Blanc on the steep Kimmeridgian terres blanches of Chavignol until his death in January 2022. His granddaughter Anne now runs the clos alone.

Production is tiny, ageing is long and new oak is absent. These are the wines that prove Sancerre can stand beside white Burgundy for longevity.
